iWalk Cornwall is a digital walking guide that offers a collection of circular walks complete with detailed instructions and local insights, drawing from over ten years of fieldwork and research.

Developed and designed in Cornwall, both the app and the walks have garnered a substantial local following. The routes undergo consistent verification and updates with valuable contributions from the local community. iWalk Cornwall received the Highly Commended honor at the 2017-2018 Cornwall Tourism Awards and was recognized as a finalist in the 2017 Cornwall Sustainability Awards.

The app is available for free download, with walks available for purchase within the app, inclusive of ongoing updates. One complimentary walk, "Lanhydrock Gardens," is provided within the app for users to trial, along with a simulation mode to experience it without needing to travel to the location.

Featuring over 250 walks across all regions of Cornwall, categorized by difficulty, distance, and themes such as coastal or pub walks, new walks are continuously introduced.

<li>Alerts you when veering off track, guided by local knowledge for meaningful detours.</li>
<li>Estimates remaining distance and time based on your walking pace.</li>
<li>Monitors battery usage during the walk and provides power-saving suggestions if needed.</li>
<li>Requires no mobile signal or internet connection once walks are downloaded.</li>
<li>Regularly updated walks with free downloadable updates.</li>
</ul>

The app also facilitates reporting footpath issues to contribute to maintaining Cornwall's footpath network in collaboration with Local Authority Countryside Teams and parish councils.

Note: For Wifi-Only iPads, an external GPS device is necessary to utilize navigation features in this app.

Note: Continued use of GPS in the background may impact battery life significantly.
